We are seeking an experienced ASME Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team and ensure the highest standards of quality in our FRP tank and pipe operations.
Overview
The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with ASME standards and codes in the design, manufacturing, and testing of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering, an understanding of ASME codes, and the ability to implement and maintain robust quality assurance processes. Experience with Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics (FRP) is a plus. Expertise in ASME’s RTP-1 standard is also a plus.
Key Responsibilities
– Maintain and improve quality assurance programs and systems in accordance with the ASME RTP-1 standard.
– Conduct audits and inspections of processes, products, and systems to ensure compliance with ASME requirements.
– Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.
– Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards.
– Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
– Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, audit findings, and corrective action reports.
– Provide training and support to employees on ASME standards and quality assurance practices.
– Stay current with changes in ASME codes and industry best practices, ensuring the company remains in compliance.
– Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
– Act as a liaison with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies on quality-related matters.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering
– Proven experience in quality assurance, auditing, and process improvement.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
– Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or related certifications is a plus.
– Expertise in ASME’s RTP-1 standard is a plus.
– Experience with Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics (FRP) is a plus.
