About the role

The Quality Compliance Associate will perform chemical and physical testing on in-process, finished, validation, and R&D products according to relevant procedures and laboratory Test Methods, SOPs, etc. Additionally, the role includes providing support for or performing calibration, laboratory investigations, and projects as required. Participation in advanced training on equipment and methods, as well as assisting in validation and method development, is also expected. The position involves working evening and night shifts, typically 8 hours from Monday to Friday, with flexibility to cover 6pm-6am night shifts as needed, including some weekends.

Your responsibilities

Duties:

Analyze sampled materials/goods in accordance with standard methods and specifications, properly record results, and render decisions concerning acceptability, initiating appropriate paperwork to accept or reject material.
Perform job tasks according to BOMs, Specs, test methods, and SOPs.
Maintain accurate and updated summary records for each material analyzed.
Assist Processing/Mixing Teams with batch process adjustments.
Calculate and assist with the rework of unacceptable batches.
Prepare, date, and standardize laboratory reagents as assigned.
Report inconsistencies in specification, BOM, or test methods, including where material test results do not meet specification.
Review existing methods and specifications and make recommendations for changes and/or corrections.
The experience we’re looking for
B.S. degree in a science field, preferably Chemistry, with 1-3 years of experience in an analytical laboratory of an industrial and/or manufacturing plant environment.
Ability to work with lab instruments such as GC, NIR, UV/VIS, HPLC, etc.
Ability to accurately complete paperwork/documentation, including quality documents.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and/or coworkers, contributing individually as well as with team members.
Proficiency in Windows-based applications (Word, Excel, etc.) as well as Outlook, Internet Explorer.
Must be able to handle chemicals within permissible levels.
Must understand the metric system and be able to convert units.

Bonus:

Ability to work with lab instruments such as GC, NIR, UV/VIS, HPLC, etc.
Experience with LIMS, SAP, Quality One, or other similar programs.
