Summary: To support all requirements for maintaining the Quality Management Systems (QMS) according to the relevant version of the ISO 9001, IATF 16949 standards, and Customer requirements. This includes performing internal audits, process audits, maintaining QMS documentation and tracking closure of internal and external non-conformities to ensure corrective actions are implemented and effective. Also, promotes opportunities for improvement within the organization. Performs other related tasks as required.
Essential Job Duties
Ø Performing internal system audits based on ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
Ø Preparation and notification plant wide for external audits.
Ø Represents Quality Management team for all external audits (Customer audits and Supplier audits).
Ø Present and distribute the audit reports and observations to the process owners.
Ø Ensuring any non-conformities are documented corrective actions that are assigned to the appropriate department(s).
Ø Ensure that the corrections/corrective actions are appropriate and effective.
Ø Maintaining management review requirements per ISO/IATF 16949.
Ø Analyze the audit results and present them in the management review meeting.
Ø Managing S.A.I.A Quality Management System documentation system.
Ø Promote opportunities for improvement for all QMS processes.
Ø Perform other duties as assigned and responsbilites as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
Ø High School Degree, Associate Degree, or equivalent job experience
Ø Minimum of two (2) years experience working in manufacturing enviroment
Personal/Technical Skills
Ø Proficient in computer operation.
Ø Porficient in Mircosoft Office Applications.
Ø Good Communication Skills
o Planning and organizational skills.
o Ability to oversee confidential information and with discretion
o Ability to manage assigned tasks in an assertive, efficient, and timely manner.
Ø Ability to multi-task, use intiative and to work well under pressure/to deadlines.
Ø The flexibility to work outside normal office hours.
Ø Knowledge of IATF 16949 (inc. ISO/TS 16949).
Ø Experience of conducting internal audits for ISO standards.
Ø High diligence and excellent analytical skills.
Work Environment:
Office – Open office environment, moderate noise level
Plant – Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes and baseball cap are required on the plant floor. Personal attire standards may apply.
Physical Demands
Ability to sit and work on a computer for extensive periods of time when required. While performing the duties of this job, the Engineer is required to talk, hear and see. The Engineer must be capable of walking, sitting and standing for extended periods of time (e.g. during internal & external audits) and may be occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
