Position Summary
Rooted in a rich railroad heritage, Hager City is one of our two factories in Wisconsin—located across the Mississippi River from Red Wing, Minnesota and about 250 miles from our location in Jefferson. Over 50 dedicated associates come together to produce wet and dry coatings for our pet food brands nationwide, making this location truly special. We also work to do our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As the Factory Quality Specialist, you will manage, facilitate, and support quality objectives and goals while ensuring employee compliance with all quality and safety policies and procedures. You will actively participate in safety, team, and plant-wide initiatives, as well as provide trainings on safety and compliance standards. The Factory Quality Specialist communicates and works effectively with teammates inside and outside the factory at all levels.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop, coordinate, and manage internal audit plans, procedures, and trainings for all Quality and Food Safety Management standards
Provide training, benchmarks, and analyses on the Food Safety Management System in line with the food Safety Policy, federal regulations, and other Nestlé Purina factories
Ensure accurate sampling, testing, reporting, and release of ingredients, issuing related reporting as needed
Ensure factory document and record control programs are compliant with company and ISO22000 requirements
Manage factory Corrective Action and Preventive Action program for the Quality, Operational, and Food Safety Management Systems
Participate in factory Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
2+ years of experience working in a food quality, lab, manufacturing, production, or related environment
The approximate pay range for this position is $59,000 – $94,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
