Education and Experience
Experience in a Quality Assurance field preferred.
Experience using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) preferred.
Minimum of 4-5 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience in calibration of a variety of gauges.
Experience using a variety of gauges.
Experience in visual acceptance of parts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to use computer software to track the calibration of gauges.
Ability to accurately document quality concerns and resolution including error-proofing.
Focus on quality with high attention to details and large scope impact.
Possess and understanding of GD&T and how to interpret engineering drawings.
Good communication skills and coordination between departments.
Maintain calibration system for company- and employee-owned gauges, ranging from micrometers, to profile gauges, to furnace controllers
Assist Quality Engineer in setting up/running CMM programs as needed.
Keep up-to-date records of inventory and any repairs needed.
Strong attention to detail.
Schedule vendors to perform on and off site calibrations as needed.
Assist in AS9100 and/or customer audits as needed.
Work closely with quality team for parts measured with out of calibration gauges for disposition.
