About The Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Customer Quality Engineer (m/w/d) to join our team at our location in Schönefeld. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining strong relationships with our global automotive clients, focusing on quality specifications, assessments, and audits. You will serve as the voice of the customer within our organization, ensuring that their requirements are met and exceeded. Your primary goal will be to foster professional, long-term partnerships that create significant value for our customers while supporting our mission to develop innovative products for future technologies.
As a key interface between our production teams and clients, you will be responsible for managing quality-related inquiries, resolving complaints, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with customer standards, facilitate root cause analysis of product rejections, and coordinate corrective actions across our global manufacturing sites. Additionally, you will support process audits within the European Molex facilities, contributing to our commitment to quality excellence and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the electromechanical industry. Strong knowledge of quality problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5W, and Ishikawa diagrams is essential. You should demonstrate a keen sense of urgency, curiosity, pragmatic problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Fluency in German and good command of English are required to effectively operate in our international environment.
Additional qualifications include experience with quality management systems, preferably SAP, and familiarity with production processes. Leadership experience is advantageous, as is prior exposure to working in fast-paced, multicultural settings. Candidates with a background in the automotive sector or electromechanical manufacturing will have a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture close relationships with global automotive customers, becoming their primary contact for quality-related concerns and inquiries.
- Ensure all customer requirements are met through rigorous verification using various quality tools and methodologies.
- Handle customer complaints and quality deviations, including obtaining approval for cancellations and mediating non-conformities in collaboration with local quality engineers.
- Analyze rejected components, identify root causes, and drive improvement initiatives across our manufacturing sites to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and communicate corrective and preventive action plans to customers, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues.
- Support and execute process audits at Molex facilities across Europe, contributing to continuous quality improvements and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality enhancements and optimize production processes.
