Role Description

The selected candidate will oversee all components of quality control and assurance to ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. Daily tasks include establishing and managing quality systems, conducting inspections, supervising quality auditing processes, ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and collaborating with production teams to achieve continuous improvement in product excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Food Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role- experience in dairy is mandatory
  • Advanced degree or certification in quality management is a plus.
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.

Duties & Responsibilities

·       Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.

·       Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and quality.

·       Oversee the quality control inspection process, ensuring consistency and accuracy in testing and documentation.

·       Supervise and conduct regular testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.

·       Analyze test results to identify any deviations from quality standards and implement corrective actions.

·       Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

·       Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address quality issues.

·       Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, test results, and corrective actions taken.

·       Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.

·       Provide training and development opportunities to ensure the team stays current with industry standards and best practices.

·       Evaluate and monitor the quality of materials supplied by vendors.

·       Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve the overall quality of incoming materials.

·       Stay updated with changes in food safety regulations and standards.

·       Ensure the facility's compliance with HACCP, GMP, ISO, and other relevant certifications.
