About The Role

The Senior Data Analyst at Sharecare plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and timeliness of our data operations. This position involves proactive research, detailed analysis, and effective collaboration with internal teams to resolve complex data issues, primarily focusing on membership eligibility and related data sets. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless intake, processing, and delivery of membership data, supporting various departments such as Engineering, Product, QA, Operations, and Analytics, as well as external development and testing teams. The role demands a high level of technical proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools, and scripting languages like Python to automate and streamline data processes. The Senior Data Analyst will also contribute to the creation of enterprise-level BI dashboards, support ad hoc reporting needs, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance data workflows and quality assurance practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience in data management, analysis, or reporting roles
  • 2-4+ years of hands-on experience with BI tools such as Qlik or Tableau
  • Proficiency in SQL, including creating complex database queries and joins
  • Experience with data handling, business processes, and application workflows
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments is preferred
  • Experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL commands is advantageous
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Toad or similar editors, MS Access, and Python scripting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of programming logic and data validation techniques
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate across departments

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely intake, processing, and delivery of membership and related data
  • Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies, discrepancies, and anomalies, communicating findings clearly to relevant stakeholders
  • Design and execute database queries to support analytical needs of internal and external clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, discuss issues, and implement enhancements
  • Monitor incoming data trends proactively to identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement
  • Support the preparation and analysis of various reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
  • Develop and implement data validation tests to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Analyze complex data sets, interpret results, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Lead responses to customer inquiries regarding data and membership information
  • Manage system configurations to meet customer requirements and support successful implementations and terminations
  • Perform one-off data fixes, operational processing, and handle special requests as needed
  • Mentor and support junior team members to enhance overall team capabilities
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve existing data processes and workflows
