Data Governance Analyst (DQ focus)
Objective:
• The Data Governance Analyst (Data Quality focus) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of organizational data by implementing and maintaining data quality standards and processes.
• This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and rectify data quality issues, establish data quality metrics, and drive continuous improvement in data quality management.
Responsibilities:
• Formulate a framework to identify critical data elements in alignment with the data governance framework.
• Conduct thorough analysis and profiling of data to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies.
• Collaborate with data owners and subject matter experts to understand data quality requirements and expectations.
• Drive building of business glossary, data catalog and data quality rules repository.
• Develop and implement data quality standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Design and implement data quality checks and validation rules to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Ability to conduct data quality checks when data is in transit and at rest.
• Develop and implement strategies for account cleansing and data enrichment & collaborate with business units to define and execute data cleansing activities.
• Establish and maintain data quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in dashboards & regularly monitor and report on the status of data quality, highlighting areas of improvement and success.
• Escalate critical issues to management and work towards implementing preventive measures.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on data quality issues and solutions & foster strong relationships with global stakeholders to support data quality initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to data governance policies and standards related to data quality and drive a culture of data excellence within the organization.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in data
quality management.
