Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Data Ops Engineer (mid to senior level) to support and enhance BAU (Business As Usual) data operations within a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in SQL and data integration tools, along with the ability to independently manage data pipelines, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage BAU data operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving complex data pipeline issues
  • Support, optimise, and enhance ETL workflows and data integration processes
  • Write and optimise advanced SQL queries for data validation, analysis, and performance tuning
  • Work extensively with Informatica (preferred) and/or SAS for data processing and transformation
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across systems
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for recurring issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data, business, and infrastructure stakeholders
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation, and operational best practices

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on SQL expertise (mandatory)
  • Solid experience with Informatica or similar ETL tools
  • Exposure to SAS is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL frameworks, and data pipelines
  • Proven experience handling BAU support in a production data environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Matillion
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake)
  • Scripting knowledge (Python, Shell)
