Job Description:
We are seeking a Data QA Engineer with expertise in Snowflake, DBT, Matillion, and Azure DevOps to support data validation, testing, and reconciliation activities within a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with fixed income products, mortgage loans, equities, and derivatives, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance across enterprise data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end testing of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting solutions using Snowflake, DBT, and Matillion.
- Validate and reconcile financial data related to fixed income instruments (Bonds, MBS, ABS), mortgage loans, equities, and derivatives.
- Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and automated validation frameworks.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with business, data engineering, and product teams in Agile/Scrum environments with two-week sprint cycles.
- Support release validation, regression testing, and production issue analysis.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and release coordination.
- Verify compliance with financial reporting, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, Matillion, and Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT testing, and data reconciliation.
- Knowledge of financial products including Bonds, MBS, ABS, mortgage loans, equities, and derivatives.
- Experience validating financial reports and regulatory data outputs.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
Experience working in Agile development environments
