About this position: We’re seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented candidate to join our team as a Senior Bookkeeper. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data and play a key role in maintaining our high standards of excellence. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you’ll be responsible for reviewing and verifying financial transactions, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. You’ll also develop and maintain quality control procedures to uphold the accuracy of our accounting records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. We’re looking for a candidate with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to quality. This position is expected to be 32-40 hours per week, with a probationary period of 90 days.
Need to be available Monday – Friday PST normal business hours.

Starting pay depending on experience: Starting at $25 – $35 per hour, depending on experience, with a reevaluation of pay at 90 days.

Job Responsibilities:

Managing accounts receivable – preparing invoices
Review accounts payable for accuracy and proper approval
Review Sales & Excise Tax Filings
Month end quality control and reviewing the work of junior bookkeepers
Creating video processes and standard operating procedures (SOP’S)
Assist with bookkeeping cleanups/catch ups
Ability to work accurately under pressure, exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality
Sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to follow through
Works effectively in a team environment through collaboration and partnership
High level review of financials – understanding of Balance Sheet and Income Statement is a must
Must be able to effectively multi task and reevaluate priorities throughout the day
Able to handle stressful situations with ease as they arise
Resourceful and creative problem solver
Positive attitude, dependability, professionalism and integrity
Attend weekly/monthly virtual team meetings every Monday at 1:30PM PST

Requirements:

Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills
2+ years of managing multiple clients in QuickBooks Online accounts independently
QuickBooks Online Certification required, Advanced Certification preferred
No desire to start your own bookkeeping business
Stable/fast/secure (VPN required and provided) internet connection to support virtual meetings
Clear understanding of accrual vs cash basis accounting
A computer and second monitor to streamline virtual work (unless your state is exempt)
Quiet workspace for client/team meetings
Team player and eager to learn
We specialize in the construction industry, experience in this industry is preferred
Ability to troubleshoot concerns and solve problems, an out of the box thinker
Must be tech savvy and be able to adapt and learn multiple new software
