Key demonstrated experience:
Track record of leading and managing a team of IT professionals, including developers, analysts, QA, and scrum teams for healthcare clients
Led and managed successful development, testing, and deployment of healthcare payer or provider applications (e.g., Digital transformation, Application modernization, Cloud transformation, Integrations)
Managed team for monitoring and maintenance of performance of existing applications, providing timely support and troubleshooting for healthcare clients (AMS)
Implement best practices for software development, including agile methodologies, DevOps practices tailored to the healthcare industry
Build and maintain strong relationships with client business stakeholders, understanding their needs and priorities
Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues to client stakeholders
Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for innovation, process improvements and automation
Key healthcare experience to look for:
Good knowledge of healthcare payer systems, regulations, and best practices
Experience with key Lines of Business (LOB) such as Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, or Pharmacy
Understanding of payer functions such as claims processing, member enrollment, provider network management, care management, PBM, Pharmacy
Familiarity with healthcare payer products (e.g., FACETS, QNXT, HealthEdge), value-based care models, and member engagement/wellness programs
Knowledge of healthcare industry standards, such as ICD-10, CPT, HL7, FHIR
Understands security measures to protect sensitive healthcare data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
