Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Supervisor to oversee our quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with industry and USDA standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control methodologies, data collection, and regulatory requirements, particularly in relation to FDA regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our products and ensuring customer satisfaction through rigorous quality audits and inspections.

Duties:

SQF Tasks

· Implement Verification and Validation activities

· Ensure Direct observation tasks are completed.

· Conduct Program Audits

· Verify Processing document and the release of finished products.

Quality Tasks

· Coordinate monthly GMP and Brittle plastic and glass Inspections

· Ensure all plant personnel conform to Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices

· Follow up with facility nonconformances

· Support all QC functions and conduct QC line checks

· Leads team members by ensuring QC tasks are completed.

· Report and communicate any plant QA/QC observation to the Director.

· Perform pre-operational sanitation inspections in all processing and storage environments.

· Observe and ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)

· Manage and implement Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Program

· Responsible for ensuring that products and packaging meet specifications

· Perform assigned tests to check for adherence to material preparation, cooking, filling, and packaging to prevent out-of-specification products

· Perform microbiological sampling according to HACCP plan: i.e. sample collection, analysis, interpretation and safety

· Ensure all plant personnel conform to Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices

Skills and Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years food manufacturing experience required

· Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously

· Advanced degrees preferred

· Visual, auditory and hand dexterity. Full body mobility. Adequate reading/language, writing and math skills. Able to work in varied temperature environments (0-50 deg.). Good hand/eye coordination. Heavy lifting required some over 50 lbs. Continuous movement and must be able to stand for long periods

HACCP and Food Safety Certification required

· Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentially, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment essential.

· Strong computer skills necessary, including proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and Outlook

· Must be able to maintain organized electronic files.

Pay: $73,000.00 – $83,000.00 per year
