Who we are:

We are on a mission to become a leading supplier of critical materials that enable the green energy and technology revolution. Our materials and technologies are required for the electric vehicle, green energy, consumer electronics, and defense industries, and our battery grade lithium and tech metals are needed for chipsets, semiconductors, and 5G.

We have a substantial interest in the Round Top, Heavy Rare Earth, Lithium and Critical Minerals deposit in West Texas. We have also developed the United States’ first rare earth and critical minerals processing facility and we own the only scalable, sintered neo-magnet manufacturing system in the Western Hemisphere. By developing this fully integrated, US-based “mine-to-magnet” critical mineral supply chain, we are poised to become the leading domestic supplier to these industries.

The Quality Manager will be responsible for establishing quality systems, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that products meet technical specifications, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and implement scalable quality assurance policies and procedures tailored to magnetics manufacturing processes (e.g. density, magnetic property analysis, dimensional accuracy, assembly, material testing, defect analysis, etc).
Lead inspections and hands-on quality audits of raw materials, in-process components, and finished magnetic products to ensure compliance with design and performance requirements.
Establish testing protocols for magnetic performance characteristics such as magnetic strength, energy product, coercivity and remanence.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to identify root causes of defects and variability; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Develop documentation systems, process controls, and reporting tools to support a culture of quality from the ground up.
Serve as the primary point of contact for quality issues, including customer feedback, supplier quality, and internal nonconformance.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, RoHS, REACH).
Manage and mentor a small team of quality inspectors or technicians; scale the team as the company grows.
Support the development and implementation of internal audit programs and prepare for customer and third-party audits.
Balance strategic thinking with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and support day-to-day QA activities on the floor.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, manufacturing, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in magnetics, electronic components, high volume or complex manufacturing, or automotive industry.
Prior experience in a startup or high-growth manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
5+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of quality systems, documentation practices, and regulatory compliance.
