Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Kingdom. The Deputy Manager, Senior Client Assessor & Quality Improvement Lead will oversee day-to-day care operations, supporting the Registered Manager in ensuring safe, person-centred, and compliant services. The role includes completing detailed client assessments, developing and reviewing personalized care plans, and regularly visiting clients to monitor outcomes and satisfaction. The postholder will lead quality improvement initiatives, conduct audits, review care documentation, and implement action plans to maintain and enhance standards. Daily responsibilities also include supervising and mentoring care teams, managing rota and staffing issues as required, liaising with families and external professionals, responding to incidents or concerns, and contributing to training, policy development, and continuous service improvement.

Qualifications

  • Strong client assessment and care planning skills, including experience in conducting holistic needs assessments and creating person-centred support plans.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities, with experience supervising care staff, providing feedback, and supporting performance and development.
  • Demonstrated quality assurance and improvement skills, such as auditing, monitoring compliance, and implementing service improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to collaborate with clients, families, multidisciplinary teams, and external agencies.
  • Sound knowledge of adult social care standards, safeguarding, risk management, and relevant legislation and regulatory requirements in the UK.
  • Experience in domiciliary or community-based care, ideally including work with people living with dementia, autism, or complex needs.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant health and social care qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent); working toward or holding Level 5 is advantageous.
  • Competence in using digital care systems, electronic record-keeping, and basic office software for reporting and communication.
