The Director of FSQA is responsible for leading efforts to enhance food safety management systems and food safety culture and drives impact across the Yum! business through influence & collaboration. With this role, the opportunities are endless: working across our iconic brands and cross-functionally to positively impact people and performance around the world. The FSQA Director will report to the Chief Food Safety & QA officer and lead a team responsible for policies, standards and audit programs supporting our food safety management system.

Salary Range: $180,000 to $211,700 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we’ll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Responsibilities:

Establish Food Safety & Quality strategies and create alignment for Yum! and the Brands.

Lead formalization of all elements of the Food Safety Management System to ensure alignment with Yum! corporate governance and integration into Brand & Business Unit goals.

Coach and lead team on developing strategies and approaches to achieve milestones and KPIs.

Monitor progress towards agreed goals and drive corrective action where needed.

Report to the Global Brand Leadership Teams and Chief Food Safety Officer on progress.

Manage crises and collaborate to solve problems affecting Brand teams and businesses.

Minimum Requirements:

Fifteen years of food safety & QA experience in multinational food industry environments, with restaurant experience preferred.

Proven impact in driving change through the adoption and performance of food safety management systems in widely varying environments.

Effective leadership of teams in an international environment.

Seasoned ability to achieve results through others by influence, relationship building, and collaboration.

Demonstrated credibility in the industry and understanding of industry best practices in food safety management systems and food safety culture.

Natural or bioscience degree with postgraduate qualifications a distinct advantage. Majors:
Food Science, Public Health, Microbiology, Nutrition (not as strong).
