MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:
Implements Quality policies and programs across manufacturing, supply chain & field service activities, ensuring compliance of plant operations with Tenaris policies.
Provides technical assistance during the production cycle.
Validates quality requirements and technical specifications of customers and performs follow-up on external audits.
Oversees communication and implementation of Quality Management System including certification, metrology, and quality audits; verification and control of quality levels of manufactured products; laboratory testing and processes; Non-Destructive Testing processes.
Provides metallurgical assistance to support processes at the plant.
Responsible for customer satisfaction on the quality of products and services.
Analyze rejection rates, investigate root cause failure, identify gaps, facilitate training initiatives, and stimulate continuous improvement.
In charge of Quality programs in areas such as Verification and Control, Laboratories and final controls.
Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
Participates in HSE objectives setting, defining and implementing programs and actions applicable to the area of responsibility for continual improvement of HSE performance.
Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with, develops his/her staff, and manages HR related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures.
Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.
Minimum Qualifications
Five (5) years of experience in a related occupation in the steel manufacturing industry implementing quality programs for pipe processes and products ensuring compliance with pipe regulatory standards and norms including API 5CT, ISO, and API 5L; performing Audits and utilizing Quality Management Systems.
Special Requirement: Requires up to 20% domestic travel to other Tenaris sites.
