Dollar General is on the search for a Process Improvement Director to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the organizations operations. This director will partner with Merchandising, Store Operations, IT, Supply Chain and vendors to identify opportunities and define impact of root cause solutions. Develop and maintain key performance metrics to measure and report to leadership the progress and impact of process improvement initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Direct and oversee key cross-functional and strategic projects that deliver significant value to company. Work throughout the organization to define, deliver and measure project results. Provide project management, analytics, and measure to projects to ensure milestones are met and deliverables achieved.
Provide leadership and supervision to the team. Direct the analysis to support current and future strategic initiatives. Coach and develop team in process improvement techniques.
Analyze and interpret data to identify opportunities and evaluate existing processes. Assess existing procedures, equipment, tools and technology. Present proposals and expected outcomes from investments and proposed changes.
Work with IT, Finance, and other support functions to remove constraints, justify investments and implement solutions that improve service and reduce expense.
Present updates, timelines, milestone statuses and results to key stakeholders.
Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to quickly identify potential drivers of emerging problems, root cause and generate solutions
Ability to partner, coordinate and influence across all levels of management
Ability to prioritize projects based on solution impact, time to implement and/or direction from leadership
Ability to direct multiple priorities and cross-functional projects
Ability to lead presentations to various levels of management
Design and execute appropriate analyses to size potential impact of problems or solutions
Strong analytical and process mapping skills
Ability to create and execute an implementation plan for rollout
Education & Experience
Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering required or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience. Industrial engineering, Six Sigma, and/or Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
