Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Quality to lead our quality management initiatives across manufacturing and operational processes. In this pivotal role, you will champion the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems that ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and excellence. Your leadership will drive a culture of quality assurance and control, fostering collaboration across departments to uphold regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall BRC/GFSI compliance.
- Responsible for maintaining the Food Safety Plan and all Prerequisites.
- Create written SOPs, SSOPs, and other technical documents.
- Responsible for approval of new and current vendors, and risk assessment of raw materials. Review, organize and maintain up-to-date technical literature and documentation for all approved suppliers and raw materials
- Organize and maintain the distribution and filing of controlled documents.
- Process all customer documentation requests.
- Current on all regulatory requirements and ensure that company operates under the latest legislation.
- Management of customer complaints.
- CAPA investigations, documentation and implementation.
- Clear and effective communication with all vendors, suppliers and customers regarding any quality related matter.
- Responsible for accompanying, cooperating, and communicating with all inspectors.
- Responsible for the Environmental Monitoring Program.
- Responsible for Food Defense Program.
- Responsible for successful third-party food safety, customer and any other regulatory or certifying body audits and communication.
- Responsible for maintaining GFCO/gluten-free program, CDA/organic program, and Kosher program.
- Main contact for BRC, FDA, GFCO, Organic, Kosher, and Food Defense programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology or a related technical field
- 5 years of Quality related work
- PCQI and strong understanding or GFSI compliance
- Effective communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work and effectively multitask
- Efficient organizational skills

Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
