Roles and Responsibilities:
As a QA Engineer, you will:
Test Planning and Strategy:
Review and analyze system specifications and requirements to create effective test plans
and test cases.
Collaborate with the development team to understand new features and requirements.
Test Execution:
Execute manual and automated test cases for various software applications.
Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in the software.
Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect
existing features.
Documentation:
Prepare detailed test reports and documentation of testing activities and results.
Maintain comprehensive records of all test activities, including test cases, test scripts, and defect logs.
Collaboration:
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings as part of the Agile development process.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure software quality through rigorous testing, including functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
Continuously evaluate and improve the testing processes and tools.
Tools and Technology:
Utilize testing tools for test automation and defect tracking.
Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
This might be you if you have the following:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering OR those with equivalent experience are encouraged to apply.
Must have 3+ years’ experience in software quality assurance and testing.
Must have experience with both manual and automated testing techniques.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
Proficient in test management tools.
Experience with automated testing tools.
Basic understanding of programming languages.
Working collaboratively with development teams and stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Independent problem solver.
Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
Must have a positive attitude and be able to prioritize and set goals.
