Director of Quality Jobs in Fort Worth, TX at Elbit America
Winpak Films is seeking a Quality Engineering Supervisor to join their Quality Department based out of Senoia, GA on a full-time onsite basis. In this role, you will lead a team of quality professionals focused on maintaining and improving product and process quality across the manufacturing floor. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be a key driver in building a culture of quality and continuous improvement, supporting operations, customer satisfaction, and compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support Quality Assurance Lab Technicians, providing coaching, scheduling, and daily directions.
Lead quality initiatives on the production floor—dedicating 25–50% of team time to direct engagement with production staff.
Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with production and quality teams.
Lead quality validations and write supporting documentation such as URS, FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ.
Utilize statistical methods and risk assessment tools (e.g., FMEA, DOE, Gauge R&R) to analyze and improve processes.
Maintain and improve quality control plans, metrics, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Support audits and manage internal corrective action requests (CARs) as needed.
Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, customer service, and IT to resolve quality and compliance gaps.
Identify and lead continuous improvement projects using Six Sigma and Lean tools.
Serve as a back-up to the Quality Manager and provide 24/7 on-call support for critical quality issues.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics, packaging, injection molding, or consumer products.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage quality processes across multiple shifts.
Experience conducting root cause analysis, corrective actions, and validations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and quality management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in ASQ, CQE, or CQT; GFSI/SQF knowledge.
Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
Experience in 24/7 continuous operations and regulated environments.
Familiarity with Kaizen events, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Leadership or supervisory experience in a technical or quality-focused role.
Additional Details:
Shift Type: Full-time; on-site Monday – Friday
Schedule: Some flexibility required, including 24/7 on-call support; travel up to 25%
