Director of Quality Jobs in Chandler, AZ at PacSci EMC
Our food processing plant is looking for a hardworking person to fill a full-time position in quality assurance. This position will require someone who is flexible in learning a variety of production roles, serving where needed and may work along production team members in the production role as needed. Candidate must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains and updates all supplier information, internal procedures and production forms.
Assists as a backup to Productions as requested.
Conducts and maintains records of all employee food and safety training.
Conducts daily pre-operation checks on both kitchens.
Assists with pulling samples on a daily basis to monitor and track the safe shelf life of products in-house as well as shipping samples to our third-party lab to be tested. Assists in the preparation of reports and assists with updating product labels.
Follows set procedures to conduct swab testing on the kitchens and PH testing on all pickled products. Tracks results and reports findings to the Director of Food Safety and Quality.
Assists with internal audits to assure processes and policies are adhered to and assure products are being processed and maintained per standards set by USDA, federal and internal guidelines. Includes the monitoring of cooler and freezer temperatures.
Performs quality assurance functions to accomplish coordination, monitoring, and reporting of quality assurance of product testing.
Advises Director of Food Safety and Quality of any food safety and quality concerns and issues.
Conducts sample testing and reports findings.
Assists the Director of Food Safety and Quality with any changes to regulations, processes or procedures.
Assists with the monitoring of food safety and quality incidents.
Records and maintains records for food safety, quality assurance and employee trainings.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Verbal and written communication skills.
Supervisory and interpersonal skills.
Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
Must be reliable – on time and ready to begin job duties at the start of scheduled shift.
Ability to be flexible with shift schedules.
Must have the ability to work well with others while maintaining a professional attitude and adhering to anti-discrimination and harassment policies.
Ability to lift 30 lbs
