Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector ensures that medical devices meet internal and regulatory standards by inspecting, testing, and documenting products and processes. This role is vital to maintaining product safety, efficacy, and compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and other applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
Document inspection results accurately using inspection forms, checklists, or electronic systems.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards to determine conformance.
Use calibrated measuring tools and test equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, force testers, microscopes).
Identify nonconformances and initiate nonconformance reports (NCRs) as needed.
Support root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Participate in internal audits and regulatory inspections as required.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and ISO 13485 requirements.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
2+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measurement equipment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
12 hour shift
Day shift
Night shift
Weekends as needed
