Job Summary

The Director of Quality Assurance is a senior leadership role responsible for establishing, implementing, and overseeing quality control and assurance processes in textile garment manufacturing. This role ensures that all garments meet the company’s and customers’ quality standards, regulatory compliance, and sustainability goals. The Director will lead a team of quality professionals, collaborate with production and supply chain teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Strategy

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) strategy in alignment with the company’s business goals.

• Define quality benchmarks, inspection protocols, and testing methods for raw materials, in-process production, and finished garments.

• Establish and enforce standards for incoming materials, in-line production, and final product inspection to meet internal and external specifications.

Team Leadership and Training

• Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

• Provide ongoing training programs for quality inspectors and production staff to ensure adherence to quality protocols.

• Conduct performance reviews and set objectives for the quality team.

Process Oversight and Optimization

• Oversee the entire quality assurance process from raw material receipt through production to final shipment.

• Conduct root cause analysis for quality defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Drive process improvement initiatives to reduce defects, enhance product consistency, and minimize production downtime.

• Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to ensure quality is integrated into all stages of product development and manufacturing.

Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure compliance with international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, or AQL standards) and client-specific requirements.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, sustainability guidelines, and best practices in textile manufacturing.

• Develop and present periodic quality reports to senior management, including key metrics such as defect rates, non-conformance issues, and customer complaints.

Customer Focus

• Work closely with clients to understand quality expectations and address concerns proactively.

• Oversee the investigation and resolution of customer complaints, ensuring timely communication and satisfaction.

• Implement a feedback loop to integrate customer insights into quality improvement initiatives.

Sustainability and Innovation

• Promote sustainable practices in quality management, ensuring minimal waste and efficient use of resources.

• Leverage advanced quality management systems and technologies, such as digital inspection tools or data analytics, to improve quality outcomes.
