Position Title: Principal Automation Engineer

Overview
We’re seeking a Principal Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative automation and systems solutions in support of complex government and commercial programs. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who is capable of building efficient, scalable, and secure digital workflows that support mission-critical operations.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in automation technologies, system integration, and low-code/no-code platforms, with a deep understanding of how to align technical solutions with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end development of workflow automation and system integration solutions
Architect scalable, secure, and compliant digital tools that align with client requirements and mission objectives
Evaluate and implement enterprise-grade platforms and technologies to enhance program delivery
Develop custom APIs, automations, dashboards, and scripts to optimize technical workflows
Work directly with client teams to gather requirements, define use cases, and deliver effective solutions
Rapidly prototype and scale solutions across diverse government and commercial environments
Promote best practices in automation, data integration, and digital transformation within project teams
Qualifications
7+ years of engineering experience with a focus on automation, systems integration, or digital transformation
Strong knowledge of low-code/no-code tools (e.g., Retool, Zapier, Make.com, Airtable)
Experience with cloud environments and common enterprise platforms
Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages
Familiarity with data security, compliance, and systems architecture in a regulated environment
Experience working in or supporting federal government or public sector clients
Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical ideas into actionable solutions
U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a security clearance preferred
