Trinity Rail is hiring a Senior Quality Inspector, Mobile Repair, at our Sunray, TX plant.

The Senior Quality Inspector, Mobile Repair position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who doesn’t stray away from a challenge.
What You’ll Do:
Performs inspection of tank or freight car assemblies, parts, or material the majority of the time to ensure conformance with standards and determine if product meets all requirements. Performs a variety of standard testing processes on in-process or final products during manufacturing or inspection and records and analyzes results.
Requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment.
May use automated and manual techniques including to perform non-destructive tests to identify errors or defects.
May be responsible for testing during production and finished products. Follows all safety rules and practices.
May be involved in safety committees or CI initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
For new hires previous work experience and/or certifications may be considered for the corresponding job level position.
Extensive experience in use of inspection tools and measuring equipment.
Independently applies and uses quality science.
Must be certified VT Level II
May be certified level II in appropriate NDE methods.
Performs Final Inspection at Multiple hold points and processes.
Work requires planning and judgment.
Determines and develops approaches to solve a broad range of complex problems.
2-4 years of related experience
Safely and efficiently performs all essential functions of the job
