Job Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for implementing and executing inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to ensure that ACR products adhere closely to company standards. This position works closely with both internal and external customers, preparing reports by collecting data on inspections or other aspects, which are analyzed in detail. They also work according to deadlines while delivering outstanding service to meet the organization’s needs.
Develops and implements process control programs that ensure the production of finished goods that meet or exceed customer-specified requirements. Requires an ability to work within a diverse workforce as a change agent practicing preventative methodology. Lead continuous improvements by utilizing the appropriate quality tools and providing data analysis. Review design and process changes for effect on product performance. Leading teams, meetings, and training exercises across functions is required. Support and monitor Quality/AS9100/Continuous Improvement efforts across the organization. Oversee customer complaints to determine quality activities required to eliminate issues. Serve as a resource to drive quality-driven activities.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of quality inspectors/technicians
Promote leadership and guidance to the operations team to meet all quality requirements
Coordinate supplier activities with the supply chain to meet required specifications
Demonstrated ability to perform long-term project planning, team building, budgeting, and operational excellence
Proficient in handling multiple responsibilities, tasks, and projects simultaneously, including the ability to shift priorities.
Set quality standards, ensure compliance, and lead a team to continuously improve quality.
Proficient skills in leading, motivating, influencing, and negotiating.
Establish clear expectations for product, process, and service quality, ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer requirements.
Ensure that the team has the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively, including training in quality assurance processes.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
Approve time off requests, timesheets, conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address performance issues

Demonstrate proficient ability to evaluate and apply compliance requirements/guidelines to complex situations.
Skilled in Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation practices
Leads Control Plan & PFMEA Development
Promotes a general understanding of AS9100 in daily activities
Assist in internal Quality training efforts
Participates in Internal Audits
Participate in Six-Sigma/Continuous Improvement efforts
Customer quality interface to ensure requirements are met – Achieve acceptable customer scorecards where available
Regulatory agency interface to ensure quality system compliance
Direct experience reviewing and/or authoring standard operating procedures and partnering with operations on product-related investigations and deviations.
Ability to synthesize data and summarize outcomes to provide recommendations on a compliant path forward
Proficient skills in solving complex problems and the ability to bring issues to resolution.
Identifies and reports quality problems or trends
Recommends and coordinates appropriate corrective action to quality problems.

Required skills/abilities
Intermediate Excel experience is a must
Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and hands-on approach to quality enhancement.
Solid engineering CAD assessment capabilities, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Solid leadership, self-motivation, and participative team skills are essential
Ability to interpret customer quality requirements with a strong customer satisfaction orientation
Effective communication skills (written and oral)
Ability to travel less than 10% of the time
Proficiency in Word and Microsoft Teams is required
Spanish speaking is a plus
Strong computer operation skills including word processing, presentation, database, and spreadsheet application skills.
Knowledge, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in quality management, engineering, or a related technical field required
10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations in quality management, quality assurance, or quality control with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Deep expertise in QMS frameworks, AS9100 compliance, and regulatory standards
Strong knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen methodologies
Proven track record in reducing defect rates, driving supplier quality improvements, and leading successful audits.
Proficiency in quality management software, statistical analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) (ASQ) required
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification required
