Part-Time Product Inspector – E-Commerce
Born To Race is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented person to process our weekly customer returns at our Islandia warehouse. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organized, hands-on work and is comfortable using a computer.
This is a permanent part-time position working one consistent weekday per week for approximately 8–10 hours. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Open and organize returned packages
- Match each return to the correct order and product
- Inspect merchandise for wear, damage, stains, odors, missing parts, and packaging issues
- Take clear photographs and document the condition of each return
- File eligible marketplace claims with accurate photos and supporting information
- Clean, steam, fold, retag, and prepare eligible products for resale
- Repackage products neatly using the correct packaging and accessories
- Separate items into resalable, repairable, discounted, and non-resalable categories
- Update returns and inventory records on the computer
- Return approved merchandise to the correct warehouse location
- Prepare a weekly list of items returned to inventory, claims filed, and damaged products
- Keep the returns area clean and organized
Qualifications:
- Reliable, honest, and highly organized
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using a computer and smartphone
- Able to work independently and follow instructions
- Comfortable standing and performing light warehouse work during the shift
- Able to lift packages weighing up to 15 pounds
- E-commerce, warehouse, inventory, quality-control, or returns experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Seller Center, or similar platforms is a plus
Schedule:
- One consistent weekday per week
- Approximately 8–10 hours per week
- Daytime shift
- Additional hours may become available based on performance and return volume
Pay: $18–$23 per hour, depending on experience
