Electrical Inspector
24 month Fixed Term Contract;
Based in Ampthill;
Offering up to £40,000.
Do you hold an IPC‑620 Certification? Do you have experience in final inspection on cables/harnesses? Do you want to work with an industry‑leading company? If your answers are yes to these, then this could be the role for you!
As the Electrical Inspector, you will be working alongside a market‑leading Defence and Aerospace company that is constantly growing and developing. They are looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry. Due to the nature of what you will be working on, you will be required to obtain high‑level MOD security clearance.
Responsibilities
You will be involved in:
- Product testing for conformance, including typical tests such as continuity, bonding, resistance.
- Programming and use of ATEs.
- Adherence to work instructions and managing non‑conforming products.
- High‑volume electrical cable manufacturing as well as one‑off or investigation work.
Qualifications & Skills
Your skillset may include:
- IPC
620 – Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies. - Understanding & handling of ESD products.
- Performing electrical inspection verification by use of measurement hand tools such as Digital Volt‑Multimeters, Ohmmeters.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- ATE programming and testing.
- Ability to manage changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with SAP or similar systems.
- Continuous improvement mindset focused on efficiency and accuracy.
- Logical approach to problem‑solving and data interpretation.
- Final inspection on cable harness.
