First Article, Inc. is an ISO-13485 registered medical device manufacturer. For nearly 20 years First Article, Inc. has been a full-service contract manufacturer specializing in the production of high quality, complex machined medical components, and assemblies.
Looking for a candidate to join our Quality Department as a hands on Mechanical Inspector able to work in a team environment. This person must be able to inspect machined parts and assemblies visually and dimensionally, to ensure quality, usability, accuracy of dimensions and material for first piece, in-process and final inspection as well as after processes which may alter parts such as heat treating, anodizing, chrome plating, TiN coating, etc.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
· Visual inspections (workmanship)
· functional testing on assemblies prior to shipment
· read and interpret blue prints
· interpret metal fabrication and related print specifications to determine method of inspection
· properly use standard precision tools such as micrometers, verniers, gauges, pins, etc
· accurately measure dimensions where tolerances may be exacting and parts are intricate in nature
· knowledge of Microsoft Excel, GD&T and Zeiss CMM is a plus
Candidate must have good verbal skills to communicate effectively with fellow employees to review, discuss and resolve any discrepancy found during inspection.
DAY SHIFT: 4 day work week — 7am-5:30pm Mon–Thur
Salary will depend on experience
