Your Job
The primary purpose is to work closely with operations and purchasing management to ensure a continuous process of improvement at all suppliers.
Maintain supplier quality system and ensure provide good parts to Molex.
What You Will Do
- Managing suppliers/Subcon ensure purchasing parts meet Molex requirements.
- Implement the supplier PPAP review for mass production.
- Key component qualifies and process audit for mass product.
- Lead problem solving related to supplier and/or subcontractors and action follow up. Release F QN for material issues and follow up in SAP.
- Resolve and handle PE case, MQR and block stock in time and handle claim issues related to supplier issues
- Implement supplier annual audit. Follow up the supplier quality performance improvement.
- Establishing and updating incoming inspection checklist.
- Involve in NPI project (ESI – Early Supplier Involvement) to support NPI team LOCALLY to conduct new supplier qualification, product, and process qualification at suppliers (e.g., FAI, tool qualifications, PPAP and safe launch, etc.)
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SCOPE: This position will be responsible for the supplier quality assurance of MSH.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
EDUCATION:
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
PREFERRED:
- Master’s degree preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:
- Have rich experience in Flex or PCB.
- Knowledge in ISO9001, IATF16949, APQP, FMEA, SPC, GRR/MSA, 7QC tools, 8D etc.
- At least 5 years of related experience in SQA or QA in connector related industry.
PREFERRED:
- Experience in the following: electroplating, molding, stamping
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
REQUIRED:
- Be familiar with Flex or PCB.
- Proficient in quality standards such as IATF16949, VDA6.3 and compliance auditing experience
- The ability to travel up to 50%, work extended hours as required and interface with various cultures and different management levels within the supplier organization
- Ability to work well with others.
- Good understanding of personal computer hardware and software including MS office and SAP.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Good time management, organizational, communication and presentation skills.
- Sound decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with problems solving tools like as 8D, 5Why, Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, etc., and stronger experience of supplier FAI, PPAP submission
- Fluent English in speaking and writing.
PREFERRED:
- MS Office, Minitab
- Project Management and process control experience
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and failure/root cause analysis skills.
