POSITION PURPOSE
The position is responsible for performing inline / end line / sample quality testing in all forms and ensure that finished good meet customer quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing dimensional and physical inspections of garment components, such as zippers, buttons, and labels, to verify compliance with product specifications.
- Help in conducting in-line inspections of garment production, including checking seam quality, stitch density, and alignment, to identify defects and deviations from quality standards.
- Performing finished product inspections, including measuring dimensions, checking for defects, and ensuring accurate labeling and packaging according to customer requirements.
- Conducting spot checks and random sampling of finished products to assess overall product quality and identify any trends or patterns in defects.
- Conducting functional tests on garments, such as zipper tests, button strength tests, and colorfastness tests, to ensure they meet performance requirements and durability standards.
- Recording inspection findings and documenting any non-conformities, defects, or quality issues using appropriate forms, checklists, and reporting tools.
- Conducting root cause analysis of quality issues and defects, collaborating with production teams to identify corrective actions and preventive measures to address recurring problems.
- Support in maintaining calibration records for inspection equipment, such as measuring tapes, rulers, and scales, to ensure accurate measurements and reliable inspection results.
- Maintaining records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective action logs, in compliance with quality management system requirements.
- Support in conducting training sessions for production staff on quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and quality assurance best practices to enhance quality awareness and skills development.
- Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management deemed necessary for the effective functioning of the department or organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in textile / garment manufacturing, quality assurance or related field.
- Minimum 1 year and above experience in related field in garment manufacturing industry.
Skills and Attributes
- Expertise in various inspection techniques, including visual inspection, sample testing, and automated inspection methods.
- Awareness of customer expectations and market trends to ensure that products meet or exceed quality requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail to identify defects and ensure products meet quality standards.
- Effective problem-solving skills to quickly address and resolve quality issues in the production process.
