Uniserv LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Technician to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our steel products meet customer specifications and company quality standards while supporting safe and efficient production.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on incoming materials and finished slit steel products.
- Verify material dimensions, gauge, width, and other customer specifications.
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify and report nonconforming materials or products.
- Work closely with production personnel to resolve quality concerns.
- Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and safety standards.
- Maintain measuring and inspection equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the steel industry is required; experience in steel slitting is strongly preferred.
- Previous quality inspection or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, customer specifications, and measuring instruments.
- Working knowledge of gauges, widths, tolerances, and material identification.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
