Precision Turning Specialties Inc. is a swiss-type CNC machine shop that manufactures precision components for multiple industries. Our main offering as a “job shop” is the production of machined parts from various types of raw material bar stock in any quantity.
Role:
Assisting the quality manager with various QC/QA related tasks and projects. Perform constant inspection of various precision components to validate conformance according to inspection plan.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to achieve and maintain product quality conformance.
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of products in various stages of the production process (receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection).
Investigate product quality problems and recommend changes or improvements.
Identifies and contains workmanship and material defects.
Perform operator workstation changeover (paperwork, gauges, etc.) for each machine during order change.
Perform product quality sorts as required.
Assist the manufacturing personnel with 2nd Op requirements as needed (De-burring).
EDUCATION:
Verifiable machine shop QC experience.
ASQ certification, six sigma certification, or similar formal training is a plus.
Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100 Rev D QMS standards is a plus.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Must have a minimum of 1 year experience working in a machine shop QC environment.
Familiarity of CNC machining and metrology best practices.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a fulltime non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7AM- 3:30PM, 3PM – 11:30PM. This position may require daily overtime and weekend work.
