The Bond Room Specialist will contribute in inventory management and with the receipt and issues of property from Bonded Storage facilities in support of the Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC), and other contracts. The Bond Room Specialist assists with the day-to-day operations of the Bonded Storage area to deliver successful outcomes that support the strategic direction and business objectives of the Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC), and other contracts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Comply with Safety, Health, and Environmental plans. Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all Company safety policies and rules.
Report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.
Comply with applicable Quality Assurance Plans, policies, and procedures.
Maintain regular and acceptable attendance level as determined by the Company.
Complete all assigned training on time.
Comply with all applicable KBR policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and personal information to which access has been granted.
Positively represent HHPC and KBR at all times through a success-oriented and professional demeanor.
Maintain all flight related property received, stored, and issued by the Bonded Storage facility in accordance with company policies, procedures, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Provide verification of receipts and issues on all flight related property entering and leaving the KBR Bonded Storage facility.
Prepare proper documentation and perform data entry to establish control records on flight material entering the KBR Bonded Storage and NASA/JSC property control systems.
Ensure that deliverables meet all applicable HHPC, KBR and NASA quality standards.
Conduct physical inventories on all flight related property located in the KBR Bonded Storage facility and update records accordingly.
Provide metrics on received items when requested by management
Maintain up to date knowledge of applicable industry standards, guidelines, technology trends and property management methods.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and employees.
Provide periodic status reports of Bond Room work activities to the Bond Room Lead and the Property & Logistics Manager.
Perform additional duties as needed, which may occasionally require work on weekends and/or evenings, sometimes with little to no advance notice.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
1. REQUIRED: (must correspond with description listed on the Composite Rates and Skills Table)
Bachelors degree, plus 2 years’ experience working in property/logistics/inventory management, or related field, or equivalent applicable experience.
2. DESIRED:
Experience in NASA/Government Inspection related work, Property Management, or Bonded Storage.
Experience with Shipping & Receiving functions and related skills.
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Familiarity with NASA FAR Supplement (NFS).
Familiarity with Quality Assurance practices.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) certification
Lithium Battery Handling certification
