Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our dynamic production team. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high quality and reliability of our manufactured quality test and measurement systems.

You will be responsible for inspecting components, sub-assemblies, and finished products against established specifications and quality standards. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence will directly contribute to our reputation for delivering superior products to our customers.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, components, sub-assemblies, and finished products using a variety of measuring tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometers, multimeters, functional testers).
Verify product dimensions, functionality, performance, and appearance against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Identify and document non-conforming materials, components, or products accurately and efficiently.
Segregate non-conforming items and participate in the root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including test data, defect logs, and inspection reports.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure proper inspection criteria are applied.
Collaborate effectively with production personnel, engineers, and other departments to address quality issues and implement improvements.
Perform functional testing of finished products according to established test procedures.
Ensure that all inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
Adhere to all safety regulations and quality procedures.
Participate in internal audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of our quality management system.
May train other personnel on basic quality inspection procedures.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
Proven experience (typically 2+ years) as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
Experience inspecting electronic or electromechanical assemblies is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using various precision measuring instruments and test equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills, including data entry and report generation.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, and preferably ISO 17025 or other quality management systems.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Visual acuity to perform detailed inspections.
