Job Overview

This role involves conducting inspections, analyzing test results, identifying defects, and collaborating with various teams to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency. The Quality Control Engineer plays a key role in maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Quality Inspections & Testing:
Perform inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet specifications.

Process & Product Improvement:

Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Identify areas for improvement and assist in implementing corrective actions to reduce defects and inefficiencies.
Work with cross-functional teams, including production and manufacturing, to develop quality improvement initiatives.

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure all quality control activities comply with industry regulations, safety guidelines, and company policies.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
Assist in preparing reports and documentation for audits, management reviews, and regulatory inspections.

Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions:

Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Follow up on corrective actions to ensure effective resolution of quality problems.
Participate in internal and external quality audits.

Training & Communication:

Provide guidance and training to production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Communicate quality concerns and improvement opportunities to management and relevant departments.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to maintain consistent quality in raw materials and components.

Qualifications

Education:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or manufacturing.
Certifications: CQI (Certified Quality Inspector), Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or other quality-related certifications are a plus.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of quality control standards such as ISO 9001, GMP, FDA, or other industry-specific regulations.
Experience with quality inspection tools, statistical process control (SPC), and defect analysis techniques.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and product specifications.
Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS) and data analysis tools.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Manufacturing environment with interaction with various subcontract factories. Travel to factories required. Comfortable in working at multiple sites.
