Overview
Under the direction of the Civilian Administrative Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Specialist is a non-sworn position that performs law enforcement reporting and clerical work to assist the operations of the Patrol and Investigative Units as well as Command staff. Work involves handling the responsibility for approving completed reports, assisting with crime statistics, random video review, FOIA redactions, and other administrative tasks assigned by the Chief of Police, Deputy Chief of Police, or Civilian Administrative Supervisor. Reports to the Civilian Administrative Supervisor.
Requirements
· Minimum 5 years of experience within a law enforcement organization in good standing
· Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines. Must be physically able to exert a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work is sedentary and involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for periods of time. Work involves balancing, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, kneeling, reaching, repetitive motion, visual acuity, and walking.
· Excellent communication skills required.
· Proficient with Microsoft systems
· Knowledge with Omnigo and digiTicket systems preferred.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license
· Candidate must successfully pass drug and ergonomics testing and a background investigation.
