Job Description

We are seeking a Director of Process Quality to serve as a champion for Process Quality (PQ) across our Payments Operations. This leader will be responsible for administering and implementing the company’s Process Quality program, ensuring quality accountability, and developing standardized quality processes and controls across the manufacturing network.

This role will collaborate closely with Sales & Marketing, vendors, customers, corporate staff, product development teams, and Procurement to enhance quality assurance, testing, and compliance. The Director of Process Quality will also be responsible for maintaining accurate plant quality records and leading initiatives that reduce errors and improve process consistency.

Quality Control & Issue Resolution

Lead quality issue resolution efforts for sales, clients, customers, and manufacturing sites to prevent reoccurrence.
Set Process Quality (PQ) standards and correct process control problems across the Payments Manufacturing network.
Ensure all products and services meet client and customer requirements.
Maintain accurate plant quality records and provide regular reporting.

Process Development & Standardization

Develop and implement Quality Process Controls & Procedures across the manufacturing network.
Collaborate with Engineering to develop PQ guidelines for new equipment certifications, technology implementation, and equipment relocations.
Work with Learning & Development (L&D) to create and update quality training programs.
Define and implement process controls to enhance overall quality consistency.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Maintain and analyze plant network and process performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Manage monthly reporting on various quality measures using multiple data platforms.
Prepare and present formal reports and presentations to employees, sales teams, and clients.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

Serve as the Process Quality Champion Liaison to ensure consistency in error reporting and testing of new paper, ink, and configurations.
Act as a business owner for conversion and new business loads to the mainframe Tran-ID owner for CAIS MFG access requests.
Drive teamwork and best practices across all manufacturing facilities.
Provide input on the hiring and training of PQ Managers, Supervisors, Coordinators, and Technicians.
Support broader company initiatives at the request of SVP of Manufacturing, VP of Payments Manufacturing, and VP of Engineering & Process Quality.

Qualifications

Experience in Manufacturing & Process Quality Leadership.
Strong knowledge of process controls, procedures, and quality assurance methods.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and implement process improvements.
Strong technical and computer knowledge, including experience with data reporting tools.
Ability to prioritize tasks, lead cross-functional teams and interact with customers daily.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in a Payments Manufacturing environment.
Background in statistical process control (SPC) and Lean Manufacturing.
Proficiency in Excel, Minitab, or other statistical software.

Additional Information

Salary: $114,000 – $140,000 + 15% Annual Bonus
Hybrid work schedule with 3 – 4 days in the manufacturing facility
