Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician for a contract position at our facility in Nampa, ID. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely laboratory results.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology
Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens with accuracy and precision
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning properly
Record and report test results following laboratory protocols and regulatory standards
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety and infection control protocols
Assist with quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing
Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and laboratory personnel
Follow established procedures and adhere to all laboratory policies and guidelines
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field
Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP or equivalent preferred)
Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work night shifts and accommodate variable scheduling as needed
