We are hiring a Quality Manager to support our growing business in Byesville, OH. In this role, you will ensure all manufactured products at the Kerry plant comply with quality, food safety, customer, and regulatory requirements through lab testing and validation schemes. You will also implement and monitor GMP, food safety, and GFSI requirements across the entire site.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

Lead HACCP and Food Safety programs, providing guidelines and support for all operations teams, including verification and annual validation of HACCP/Food Safety plans and prerequisite programs.

Ensure that all food safety management systems based on GFSI standards meet current requirements.

Participate in new product meetings (NPI), conducting risk assessments for food safety based on HACCP and customer requirements.

Facilitate GFSI, customer, FDA, and internal audits related to quality and food safety.

Manage sanitation teams to reduce sanitation risks.

Oversee the environmental monitoring program.

Develop training based on HACCP risk assessments focusing on risk prevention.

Implement corporate food safety programs effectively.

Manage action plans and conduct risk analysis using CAPA via the Intelex portal for root cause analysis.

Conduct systematic risk assessments to prevent deviations affecting plant performance and customer satisfaction.

Oversee third-party companies and service providers such as pest control, chemicals, cleaning, environmental conservation, and calibration of critical equipment based on HACCP.

Serve as the focal point for good manufacturing practices, change management, preventive maintenance, foreign material programs, allergen control, food defense, and related prerequisites to mitigate food safety risks.

Perform risk trend analysis and report on strengths and weaknesses of the management system based on HACCP, SWOT, and risk map analysis.

Key Experience

B.S. Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, or a related field.

Minimum 8 years of experience in quality and food safety management within manufacturing.

Experience with aseptic processing is required.

Knowledge and certification in relevant GFSI systems such as IFS, SQF, BRC, and FSSC 22000.

Knowledge of allergens, microbiological topics, Kosher standards, HACCP, GMPs, quality systems, internal audits.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.

Qualifications and Skills

The typical salary range for this role is $90k-$135k annually, depending on education, experience, certifications, and location. Kerry offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase options, and retirement contributions, subject to eligibility.
