Our work depends on the SAIW Quality Analysis Supervisor joining our team to ensure guidelines, guidance, and policy for the SAIW program are implemented as written to align with the contractual, Defense Professional Services (DPS) Sector and GDIT requirements.

The SAIW Program as part of DPS business portfolio, executes the modernization, repair, refurbishment, and upgrades to USN ships which involves numerous Quality and Safety professionals to support this effort. The person selected must have an excellent understanding of NAVSEA Standard Items, QA Workbooks, shipboard safety requirements and mitigating associated hazards.

The QA Supervisor ensures compliance with local policies, practices, and procedures to support and maintain the QMS requirements.

The Quality Analysis Supervisor shall interface directly with program and project management, Government technical staff and customers, and the AIT to provide status and progress reports, identify issues, and determine appropriate resolution actions to Corrective Action Requests (CARs). The QA Process Supervisor shall ensure the QA Inspection processes are appropriate to ensure the organization can consistently deliver the needed performance.

HOW A QUALITY ANALYSIS SUPERVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Collaborate with a diverse team of Quality and Safety personnel deployed at numerous CONUS and OCONUS locations to ensure successful project completion.

Ensure compliance to contract requirements.

Ensures assigned Quality and Safety staff monitors and evaluates the workplace to ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.

Work closely with customers, managers, and technical staff to assure adherence to QEHS standards.

Understands and interprets ISO 9000, 14001, and OSHAS 18001 as they relate to safety and environmental requirements.

Work with GDIT QEHS staff to develop responses to OSHA, EPA and other customer related issues.

Interface with the QEHS Council and GDIT QEHS Leaders

Significant contributor to QA and Safety contract deliverables.

Contributes and participates in Quarterly Quality Reviews with customer and Senior GDIT Leadership.

Identify trends in Quality and Safety to drive program improvement.

Communicate lessons learned to multiple projects in the SAIW portfolio, and GDIT Defense Professional Services Leadership.

Tracks SAIW Program corrective actions to closure.

Participates in updating training as a result of corrective actions

Collaborative work to develop solutions that can be implemented across the waterfront at multiple locations

Provide leadership and guidance, mentoring junior staff

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience in ship repair or other related industry.

Possess a minimum of five (5) years’ performance and quality management experience similar in terms of size, scope, and complexity to the requirements of this TO, with three (3) years’ experience in a lead position for performance and quality management.

Possess a minimum of three (3) years’ experience researching, reading, and interpreting mechanical drawings, maintenance technical manuals, blueprints of various formats, directives, and data.

Required Technical Skills: In depth knowledge of ISO Standards, OSHA

Requirements and NAVSEA Standard Items, Data analysis, Lean Tools, DMAIC, 6 Sigma, Microsoft Office

Required Skills and Abilities: Leadership, critical thinking, problem solving, excellent communication and presentation skills, teambuilding

Preferred Skills

Possess a minimum of one year of experience with ISO 9000 series – Quality Management processes.

6 Sigma Black Belt

Possess a BS or BA degree from an accredited institution in one of the following disciplines: engineering, quality management, project management, or a related field

The likely salary range for this position is $83,429 – $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
