10:30PM-7AM Sun-Thurs
Pay: $24+ depending on experience
Job Purpose
Ensure compliance with product safety regulations, specifications, and standards by inspecting and analyzing raw materials, in-process, and finished product samples.
Core Responsibilities
Conduct chemical and physical testing of products or incoming ingredients.
Enter test results into SAP promptly, leading to acceptance or rejection.
Communicate rejections and updates to Quality, Operations, Purchasing, and Customer Care teams.
Perform basic equipment calibrations as per procedures.
Troubleshoot instruments, equipment, and quality deviations in the laboratory.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Provide backup and support to team members as needed.
Identify improvement opportunities in QC and implement proactive measures.
Academic Background
Vocational diploma in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
University degree preferred.
Professional Experience
5-6 years of overall work experience, with 2-3 years in a similar position.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in laboratory and QC techniques.
Experience with laboratory systems, analytical equipment, and instruments (e.g., weighing balance, Densitometer, Refractometer, Moisture balances, Karl Fischer titrator, Sieve testing equipment, GC).
Knowledge of chemical substances, hazardous material, and local regulations.
Good sensory evaluation experience preferred.
Experience with GC/HPLC/Mass Spec.
