Position: Construction Quality Control Associate
Location: Austin
Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Associate to be responsible for working hand in hand with construction operations in delivering high quality homes and communities across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage reporting documents to summarize inspection findings
Manage punchlists
Work in close proximity with in-house construction management team and third-party owner’s rep
Provide input for cost saving opportunities based off field findings within current specs
Performs monthly framing inspections to identify potential finish out deficiencies
Perform final completion inspections for Functionality and Quality and Acceptance Walks throughout the portfolio
Coordinate and support the operations/property management team to assure their success with required information, documentation and coordination and ensure appropriate delivery of units through lease up
Work with property management company to track open warranties and ensure timely fulfillment by GC and subcontractors
Collaborate with Design, Construction, Operations teams to address quality concerns, preventive actions and corrective measures
Qualifications:
Live in Austin, TX or the surrounding area
Ability to travel throughout the Texas, Colorado, and North Carolina markets as needed
Knowledge of scheduling, construction related software
Computer proficiency to include the Microsoft Office program suite, MS Project, and ProCore
Ability to interact with people in a diplomatic, courteous, respectful and professional manner
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
Proven success in a fast-paced environment; act with a sense of urgency and able to prioritize tasks
Must have high integrity and value fiduciary responsibility
