Job Title: Quality Manager
Reports To: Corporate Director of Quality & Regulatory
Role and Purpose within the Organization:
Supports the Quality Organization, across a broad spectrum of Quality centric activities, e.g., Customer Support (Audits/Reporting), 3rd Party Audits (ISO, etc.), EC Support, Business Process Development to comport with the QMS in an SMT Manufacturing environment vertically integrated to product assembly and distribution functions.
Required Qualifications for Job Function:
At a minimum, a 4-year technical degree with an appropriate combination of technical experience coupled with organizational leadership experience.
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, industry standards (IPC-A-600, 610), JEDEC standards and ISO Quality/Environmental standards.
Must have verifiable experience within a fast-paced high-tech manufacturing environment as a supervisor or other management position.
Ability to read, understand and verify bills of material, assembly drawings, and/or other technical information as may be required.
Must be able to discern between conforming and nonconforming Avant processes or procedures based upon objective evidence through the use of a customer, Avant, or third-party standards.
Must demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate audit findings verbally and in writing.
Working knowledge of interactions with 3rd party entities, i.e. UL, TUV, RBA, RMI, etc.

Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, BOMs MRP, and scheduling
Responsibilities:
ISO 9001:
Serves as ISO Lead Auditor for internal audits and/or customer audits
Documents audit results in accordance with Avant Quality System procedures
Maintains Avant Quality System and acts as a site representative for external ISO audits
Provides oversight in the execution of the Change Management processes
Leads the continuous improvement program through effective management of CAPA activities
Process Yields and Reporting:
Develops and deploys quality performance reports as required by management and for customer needs.
Extensive collaboration with Product and Process Engineering teams to enable CIP within the framework of the QMS and customer expectations.
Compliance and Regulatory:
Develop and maintain connection of the 3rd party compliance platform to Avant BOM components and products.
Facilitate the efficient and effective creation of documentation supporting customer expectations to external standards i.e., REACH, RoHS, PFAS, HF, TCAS, Prop65, etc.
Ensures compliance with RBA and RMI while minimizing Avant’s cost exposure in managing to the standards.
