Job Description:
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements; conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Responsibility: The Inspection Supervisors of Quality are responsible for planning, coordinating, facilitating, managing and leading the activities of Production Quality Inspection personnel. Specific responsibilities include oversight of product and process verification, process and procedural compliance, and to drive discipline and accountability within the build and verification processes as it relates to product Quality. A supervisor carries responsibility for the development, training, and coaching of employees, setting individual and team goals, completing performance evaluations for employees, and providing constructive feedback to his team. A supervisor must interface with various functional and program areas within HRP to assure compliance and continuous improvement, including interfacing closely with Quality Engineers to ensure the effectiveness of inspection systems and interfacing with customer representatives.

Accountability: The Inspection Supervisor is a key member of the leadership team, accountable for overall performance and process of the inspection functions. Supervisors manage first line inspectors and are accountable for the Quality acceptance of all work products and identification and documentation of all nonconformance. This position provides direction to inspectors to achieve efficiencies in inspection processes, world class Quality, and support of on-time delivery. Supervisors report to managers to receive flow-down of applicable Quality directives as defined by the QMS and as directed by the appropriate QMS director and/or manager. Supervisors are responsible for the compliance of manufacturing verification, self-verification, and operator verification (MV/OV/SV) performance within their assigned work areas.

Authority: Each Inspection Supervisor must apply effective leadership skills to prioritize opportunities for improvement, set expectations, and hold inspectors accountable to achieve compliant standards and improvement mindsets with results-oriented skills. They must exhibit strong planning, coordination, facilitation, analysis, coordination, people and influencing skills to achieve cost, schedule, and Quality objectives. Through monitoring of aging/future tasks, metrics, and performance trends, and coordination with production operations counterparts, supervisors delegate daily tasks and priorities to inspectors in order to meet support and schedule requirements. The inspection supervisor also takes disciplinary actions as appropriate. The Inspection Supervisor has the authority and is empowered to enforce all aspects of HRP Quality Standards to ensure compliance to company standards, certification body and contractual requirements.

Overall Duties:
Oversight for product and process verification, process and procedural compliance
Development and training of employees
Flow down of HRP and contract program requirements to inspectors
Awareness of and assist with Root Cause, Corrective and Preventive Action activity
Assign or oversee the assignment of daily tasks to Inspectors to ensure that workload is distributed to meet production priorities
Supervise Inspectors, including problem-solving, scheduling, training, counseling, and completing performance reviews
Periodically evaluate/sample inspection tasks to ensure compliance with processes and procedures and competency of personnel
Lead in the resolution of ageing units on Production Quality Hold with a regular cadence and follow up with cross functional teams
Follow all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures
Suggest and implement changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase safety and efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
Identify and communicate work goals and initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
Maintain time and production records, and monitors metrics and trends to address performance needs.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual areas
Interface with other departments and Training to develop and implement training programs as required
Confer with Human Resources to resolve personnel issues as needed
Local Customer Representative Interface
Define and infuse differentiating value of Quality
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Requires at least 8 years related experience.
Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
5-years experience in a Quality control/inspection role, supervisory role, and/or test technician position or equivalent education and experience.
Effective use of Microsoft Office products for reports, schedules, written communication, presentations, and data evaluations and collection.
Ability to efficiently use applicable Manufacturing Execution System (MES) & Enterprise Resource System (ERP).
Efficient working knowledge of ISO9001 standards and understand the requirements.
Knowledge of Quality systems, concepts, and management and planning tools.
Demonstrated analytical skills in Root-cause analysis, corrective / preventive actions.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Able to demonstrate applications of the standards to the Quality and Environmental Health & Safety (ESH) organization.
Ability to create a culture that promotes positive relations, safe working environment and drives continuous improvement.
Ability to manage ambiguity, consistently exercises sound judgment, general business acumen, and lead a group of diverse people and personalities.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees.
Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration, communications, and presentations.

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $71,000 – $93,000 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.
