What to Expect:
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join our ongoing part-time team, with the potential for full-time opportunities. As part of a global inspection team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of components and assemblies sourced by a prominent aerospace leader from suppliers in the greater OC/LA area. Your role will involve direct deployment via SQA’s operations center based on client needs and supplier production schedules.
What you’ll do:
Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections at one or more client suppliers in the Orange County area.
Ensure products meet quality and specification standards
Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications
Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.)
Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
Interpret manufacturing drawings and identify non-conformances
Periodically verify accuracy and ensure productivity to meet production schedules
Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized
What you’ll need:
Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods
Familiar with IPC-A-620 standards; IPC-A-620 certification a plus
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields
Preferred: 5 years of experience, with 2 years as a Cable and Harness Inspector
Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering preferred
Knowledge of electronic contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing a plus
Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components
Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC)
Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills
Must be fluent in English
US Citizenship required due to product nature, with background checks necessary
