We're looking for a hands-on Functional Tester/Analyst to join a product team delivering a field inspection & maintenance application in the energy sector. You'll be at the heart of quality assurance: bridging the gap between business users and developers, and ensuring a complex, integrated solution works flawlessly in the field.
You'll work in Brussels with 2 days of remote work per week.
🎯 What you'll do
- Own the test plan: preparation, execution, and follow-up in close collaboration with the project manager and business stakeholders
- Design and execute manual test scenarios covering functional, regression, exception flow, and non-functional testing
- Act as the single point of contact between key users and the product team for all E2E and functional testing matters
- Identify and flag test automation opportunities for the development team
- Help define acceptance criteria for User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Review analysis deliverables such as functional specifications and interface documents

- Evolve into a functional analyst role: writing user stories, analyzing business needs, creating UML/BPMN documentation
- Support end users and contribute to release notes, user manuals, and training
- Participate in estimation and planning sessions
✅ What we're looking for
- Fluent in Dutch and French, good command of English
- Proven experience in functional and mobile application testing, including stability and stress testing
- Strong analytical mindset: you challenge requirements and translate them into clear acceptance criteria
- Comfortable with Azure DevOps, Confluence, UML tools (e.g. Sparx EA), and MS Office
- Working knowledge of UML, XML, JSON, SQL
- Team player with sharp communication skills and attention to detail
⭐ Nice to have
- ISTQB certification or knowledge of TMap / STBox test methodologies
- Experience with SAP PM (S/4HANA)
- Background in the energy sector or asset management domain
