GC – QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER – COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION
Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical and general contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for a Quality Control Manager in Tampa, FL.
Quality Control Manager Compensation & Benefits:

Quality Control Manager Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee QC programs on large projects in collaboration with site leadership
- Establish site-specific quality protocols including control plans, logs, and documentation systems
- Lead weekly quality meetings and coordinate with all team members
- Prepare for and participate in quality preparation meetings prior to major work phases
- Communicate directly with ownership regarding quality performance and concerns
- Review inspection reports, deficiencies, and completion documentation
- Maintain thorough knowledge of contract requirements, plans, specifications, and codes
- Manage and coordinate trade partner testing and inspection schedules
- Maintain daily quality activity documentation and reports
- Monitor trade partner compliance and escalate performance issues to management
- Select and oversee third-party testing firms and verify adherence to standards
- Evaluate and develop quality control personnel
- Support regional quality initiatives and best practices
Quality Control Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management required
- Minimum 5-7 years on large-scale commercial construction projects required
- Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Primavera, and AutoCAD
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening including background check and drug test
- Safety-sensitive position requiring full compliance with protocols
Preferred but Not Necessary:
- Project management certification
- Experience in aviation, healthcare, or critical facilities construction
- Knowledge of building information modeling (BIM)
- OSHA 30 certification
Work Environment:
- On-site at Tampa, FL location
- Moderate physical demands including occasional climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Regular exposure to outdoor conditions and construction environments
- Contingent upon work authorization verification, background check, and drug screening
